Survey Says…

So I’ve been poking around WordPress, trying to figure things out (and doing so oh, so slowly). You know, trying to figure out how to make the books things link up without them taking up space on my front page. The sort of annoying minutiae that bugs the crap out of me if I can’t fix it.

But it’s ok. Because I’ve discovered (only about, what, 2 months after I started this thing?) that I can see what search terms people have put in to cause their cyber spaceship to land in my cyber Roswell.

And it’s been interesting. I may make this a monthly thing, but I just couldn’t wait when I saw some of them.

AOL search is the best. Really.

There are a couple of them that I thought were kind of cool, like the search for lyrics. Back when I first posted “I’m a Woman,” I couldn’t find the lyrics transcribed anywhere (a few years ago), so I did it myself. Someone else was looking, too, apparently.

Cool Search Terms:

• I’m a woman you know I’m an earthshaker (double cool points)
• The future is now the past is gone forever (double cool points again, Live lyrics)
• Kenneth ryan catholic questions
• half asleep in frog pajamas + spiritual (at least someone out there has good reading taste)
• nightster opinion (although they probably were looking for someone with a bit more expertise than they found here)
• scrubs (but of course)
• now you learn the hard way (actually the line from the song that made me google it too, so I completely understand)

Mediocre Search Terms:

• what not being a fool
• better to be thought a fool
• if it feels nice don’t think twice

…and finally WTF Search Terms

• tongue my butt
• things out of my butt
• pull things out of my butt
• i know i’m sexy a butt

I don’t even want to know how this boolean, or whatever this high-tech logic is, works.
No, no I don’t.
